The photo above, captured by Mrs. Johnson during Wednesday morning’s Stretch, illustrates one of the many ways students express themselves at Neary. During less structured parts of the day, students have opportunities to create games, engage in free play, connect with friends, and simply enjoy being together.
Today, we also held our first fifth-grade Buddy Lunch. Students selected their own seats while being intentional about welcoming others and doing their best to make sure everyone felt included.
In Buddy Classes this week, Mrs. Perry’s, Mrs. Gardula’s, Mrs. Dolan’s, and Mrs. Turieo’s classes collaborated on Everybody Buddy Matters, creating encouraging sticky notes and bookmarks for our community.
These moments are wonderful examples of students living out our values of respect and kindness. Please enjoy the pictures, and the next time you visit Neary, feel free to take a student-created bookmark or sticky note to brighten your day. A special shout-out to 5th grader Mathias for my brand-new bookmark!
My best,
Tom
