Strategic Planning

The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough is reauthorizing its Strategic Plan, Vision 2026: Educate, Inspire, and Challenge. First approved in the spring of 2021, this plan has guided the District’s priorities and actions over the past several years. As we look ahead, it is time to chart the course for the next six years - and we invite our community to help shape that future.

This fall and winter, the District is collecting input from students, families, staff, and community members through multiple avenues, including a community-wide survey. The survey mirrors the January 2021 version, allowing comparison of new feedback with the original baseline data. These insights will inform the goals, priorities, and key actions that will define the next phase of the District’s Strategic Plan.

Your participation in the survey is greatly appreciated. Survey Link

Ramadan

Dear Neary Families,

Sundown on Tuesday, February 17th marks the beginning of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim calendar and the holy month of fasting. It begins and ends with the appearance of the crescent moon. It is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and increased devotion. Muslims will fast from dawn to sunset between 29-30 days (depending on the lunar calendar). This means no food or drinks when the sun is up. If your child is fasting during this month, please know our library will be open and supported by our library media specialist, Mrs. Mathew (M, T, Th) and Mrs. Valenti (W, F), during lunch times each day. Students may choose to spend lunchtime in the dining room with their classmates, or if you feel they would prefer to spend that time in the library/conference room, please email their classroom teacher to let them know. If you have any questions, please contact me at 508-481-2300.

Respectfully,
Kathleen Valenti
