As you may know, there are now two very different companies with the same name- Sora. At Neary, we are committed to student cyber safety. To that end, we want to make you aware of an app that is SEPARATE from Sora Reading App. 

Sora AI is an OpenAI resource that generates video content associated with deep fakes. It has an 'unacceptable risk' level for children and teens, and is available on OpenAI's platform and iOS.

Sora Reading App is a resource provided by the Massachusetts Library System, available to Neary students using their secure Google login. This app is also available through device app storefronts for free. The logo for Sora Reading

Please ensure that you check the devices within your home that students have access to, if you do not want them to use the Sora AI app. The Sora AI app is NOT accessible to students at school on their school-issued device. Name and draw the goose contests!

At this week's whole-school meeting, students were informed about a contest to name our new goose, who is at the front of our school each day, welcoming all who enter. Students were able to suggest names this week, and soon we'll have a decision on its name. Mrs. Johnson is also organizing a goose drawing contest. Below is important information about the contest. and a few pictures of the goose to use as a model.

The winning art will be reproduced onto a large canvas to hang in the school.
